Kimbolton Sculpture Festival
Kimbolton Arts & Sculpture Trust
The Kimbolton Sculpture Festival is a rural focused event which promotes and celebrates the creation of rural art.
Included in the festival program are the New Zealand Rural Sculpture Awards which are open to amateur and professional artists from throughout NZ with a total prize money pool of $15,000.
The winner of the NZ Rural Sculpture Award receives $5,000 with the Creative Cocky Award, Local Yokel Award, NZ Rural Small Sculpture Award, Peoples Choice award, Give it a Go Award and Youth Awards receiving the balance.
The criteria for the awards are that the sculpture be made from any material commonly found on a NZ farm.
Art pieces may be put up for sale at the festival or alternatively a stall may be booked.
The festival is a great day out for both rural and urban people and includes quality craft stalls, music, children’s activities, art displays, and many other attractions which attracted over 3,500 people at our second festival in April 2019.
